Message in a Bottle

“Message in a Bottle” tells the story of the women of my homeland — women striving to express the concerns, pains, and hardships of being a woman in today’s society. Each bottle holds a true story of contemporary women in my country — haunting accounts of the tragedy of womanhood in Iran. These silent messages are cast into the waves, hoping that one day they will be heard. I created this series between 2016 and 2022, with the final work completed in 2022. However, due to the strict regulations on exhibiting artworks in Iran, I was never able to present them publicly in my homeland.
